Denise is great! I was a disbeliever of acupuncture for a long time. But, when my health got really bad and the doctors didn’t have a solution my friend told me to got Denise. She made my lab tests actually get better even when my doctor’s didn’t think possible. Then I left Denise for a bit while on a long trip. Upon my return my health had deteriorated and life was quite challenging. I was in end stages of kidney failure. I was doing dialysis for a while. Finally my health was unbearable. That’s when I decided to go back. My legs were swollen so I could barely walk. My blood pressure was so high I was on 4 blood pressure pills. Denise got me to a much more manageable place even the doctors couldn’t do that. My swelling was limited to evening and I was down to zero that’s right, zero blood pressure pills. I finally received a kidney transplant from a friend after 1 1/2 years of dialysis and almost 5 years of downward spiral. Denise even helped in my recovery. When I couldn’t go to her she came to me 2 times!
Besides all this, she’s always talked to me. She listens about all my problems not just my health problems and takes them into account when she’s treating me. She’s a kind soul and I’m glad I’ve had the opportunity to get to know her and I’m lucky to have her treat me. She’s been a miracle worker.

Relief from menopause symptoms: I would highly recommend Denise Daniel, owner, Healthy Family Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine, in Montclair. I came to her suffering from peri-menopausal symptoms of fatigue, massive irritation, and uncontrollable anger. She completed a very thorough medical history, and commenced with a series of acupuncture treatments that have ameliorated all of my symptoms. I feel great! She is kind, a fine listener, and wonderful with children (we now use her with our 6 year old). Her fees are reasonable as well.

I had already been to my primary care doctor and she suggested lots of pain relievers and rest. Beyond that, there was nothing else that she could suggest. Denise brings the bedside manner to the acupuncture table so often missing in mainstream medicine. Her consideration of my whole-person from the work I’m doing physically to the things I’m dealing with emotionally make me feel like my whole being is being treated by her. And, although I have done acupuncture in the past, she is still considerate of the newness of feeling needles especially in some sensitive spots, and talks me through it so sessions are more comfortable.
